D'un vert pâle, il est transparent mais avec plusieurs fractures internes (origine naturelle). Il était à l'origine totalement recouvert de mica, qui a été gratté, ce qui explique les angles très arrondis et la surface quelque peu irrégulière. Un second cristal est juché au sommet du principal, et un troisième, ébréché, à proximité. Nice light green emerald crystal on a mica matrix. It is gemmy although bearing several intern flaws (natural origin). It was initially embedded in mica, which have been trimmed away, which explain the crystal's rounded edges. D'une très belle couleur bien saturée, sa clarté est variable avec cependant de nombreuses zones transparentes (le coeur est opaque). From the famous Pakistnai locality, here comes a very nice emerald crystal with a well saturated color and clarity ranging from opaque (core) to transparent. De clarté variable (quelques petits zones sont transparentes, sinon translucide à opaque), il est veiné par endroit de calcite blanche et est d'un beau vert intense, bien saturé. Les terminaisons sont contactées et montrent une cristallisation irrégulière. From a rather little-known locality (extraction as resumed after several years of near-sleep), here comes a nice emerald crystal on matrix. Its clarity ranges from opaque to translucent, with a few small gem areas, and the color is of a beautifull well saturated deep green, contrasting with white calcite veins. Schorl - Khaltaro valley, Gilgit District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan Prix: 50,00 € En provenance d'une localité peu connue (l'extraction a repris il y a environ 2 ans, après plusieurs années de quasi-sommeil), voici un joli specimen regroupant 3 cristaux d'émeraude, opaques à translucides (arrêtes) et d'un beau vert bien saturé, mais un chouïa plus clair que le specimen présenté ci-dessus (pas autant que sur les photos). Quelques faisceaux de tourmalines schorl rayonnent sur un des côtés de la pièce. A l'aide d'un peu de vinaigre (matrice en calcite) et de l'outil adéquat, il doit être possible de dégager un peu plus l'un des cristaux, avec prudence côté acide car il est veiné de calcite. From a rather little-known locality (extraction as resumed after several years of near-sleep), here comes a nice specimen featuring three emerald crystals, with a clarity ranging from opaque to translucent (edges) and of a nice, well saturated green, although a tad lighter than the crystal offered above (but a tad darker than on the photos). A few sprays of schorl tourmaline radiate on one side of the specimen. With a bit of vinegar and adequate tool, it must be possible to expose a bit more one of the crystals (I've already done a bit), although going lightly on acid solution as the crystal is veined with calcite.
